How can I stop rain from seeping thru the mortar joints?
Rain seeps thru mortar joints on my stone chimney and runs down and stains my interior walls. How can I stop that? Thanks

I agree with Naomie. It appears that water is seeping through the motar but it can be from around the chimney. You need a pro to determine where the water is coming from. Could be flashing, top of chimney, around the chimney. Rarely seeping through mortar unless joints are missing mortar.
You might consider putting in French Drains, it helped our situation when we lived at the bottom of a slow long hill
Water is a tricky beast, it could be coming from anywhere even though it shows up in one particular area. You'll need to get some pro's out to take a look at your roof and the chimney. The chimney may need tuck pointing or your roof may need a repair you weren't aware of.
