Try using some cooking oil or oilve oil around the glass. Turn both around several times to get it even around the glass and then let it set for a while--like an hour. If it doesn't come lose, try adding some heat like microwave or extremely hot water.
Set the bottom cup in hot water and fill the inner cup with ice water. The cold water will contract inner cup while hot water expands outer cup.
Set them in a freezer for a day. Should come right out just like candle wax does from a glass.
WD-40 or window spray cleaner have worked for me in the past.
