I was in a large nursery yesterday. Greenery abounded, then mums in every color. These could be set out in a garden, or displayed in their pots. A fresh supply of herbs came in, and you can have those and the orchids inside or out. Lots of small shrubs and trees are ready for planting. You may be able to get in a winter garden if you focus on fast growing vegetables and get sets, not seeds. Potatoes, smaller tomatoes, squash, gourds, and root veggies like carrots and onions, and layered greens like cabbage, Brussels sprouts, asparagus, and Bibb lettuce.
But the key is shopping in a big nursery for healthy, guaranteed sets. Best wishes ☺️
If you want to plant edibles in your home, go to Pintrist and search. There are soooo many.
