Send me some - 😄 Seriously, you will need to dig it up in order to get rid of it - or just prune it back to where its manageable.
Dig it up and offer to friends and neighbors!
Clematis is notorious for taking over. If you want to get rid of all of it, you need to dig up the entire root system OR you can pour boiling water on the roots after you have cut back all of the foliage then pour salt on it. A lot of salt. Hope this helps.
Are you sure you want to kill it? Ask someone at the nursery, or put some plastic on this area, with stones on top., so this area will NOT get air, or moisture, and this should be your answer. J.
Dig it up!
