How to stop pets from going to the bathroom in the house?
We have 2 dogs and we do not know which one is doing this but can not punish the innocent one. This started a while ago, but one (maybe both) have been using the bedroom floor as their personal bathroom. The only good thing is we have hardwood floors and not rugs as this would be a total problem if we did. My question is: is there anything I can put on our floor that would stop them from doing this?

Try Pine Sol or lemon furniture polish.
Might be time for a trip to the vet. Do they go out often enough? Sometimes there is an underlying cause, and if so, you will need to be a sleuth investigator to figure it out.
You can buy something from pet smart that gives off a gentle shock when they step on it. I use one to keep pets off the sofa. Also can be placed in doorways.
Close the bedroom door, when you are not in it. Is there a change of some kind.? That might stress the dogs? How old is the older dog, maybe it’s just old age?? When does it happen? If it’s at night don’t feed the dogs till morning, just feed once a day, or feed a couple hours earlier than normal. And walk make sure they are doing their business, if you just let them out in the yard you still have to watch and make sure they do. You might have to consider crating them at night if that’s when it happens, or one at a time to figure out who’s doing it. But the easiest is close the door.
if you have a fenced yard, put in a 'doggy door' so they can come/go as they need during the day; crate at night .
Baking soda
Don't shock your pets, please
Once the smell is in, they're going to keep repeating the action as that's what dogs do. You need to find a way, a product or something, that will help you eliminate the scent. You may not be able to smell it but they can. As a friendly side note, if you've discovered it much later than the action, they won't remember what they did, there's no point to punishing them.
