How do I cap the top of a metal door after cutting 4 inches off top?
I had to shorten the door to fit opening in garage.

Usually you cut off bottom and not worry about it. Top, I don't know. Maybe cut a 2x2 down that you could wedge into the opening and caulk.

Two ideas that I had was to insert a piece of wood the right size and screw in place or get a rubber stopper that slides over the door that usually goes on the bottom and put it on top.
Try some wood and glue it
I'm actually for a solution that would cap the top of the door and cover the cut edges..maybe aluminum clad or plastic
Wedge a piece of wood into the top. Use two part epoxy to glue it in. Prime and paint the visible wood surface
