Well, replacing walls sounds a bit drastic, and expensive so I would suggest painting them. I have a mobile home, too, and all the walls were covered in very unsightly wallpaper, which I think was stuck to the original sheet rock, when I moved in. I couldn't stand that wallpaper so painted over it in every room in the house. I just used good old Behr latex paint, two coats and didn't have any problems. No primer necessary. Looks good. I also did two textured walls in my living room. Should be just fine. Good luck.
