You should not have gaps, that should be on your repair list. I use Bona products on my wood floors. I also use a vinegar water solution occasionally, but my floors are sealed really really well.
Is your floor vinyl or laminate ? If laminate water will harm the floor, if solid vinyl a small amount of water shouldn't harm it.
Gaps in wood floors are normal and occur when the wood loses its moisture content. Several factors can be the cause. Often gapping can result with flooring installed during periods of higher humidity. ... You may also notice that your doors or wood windows will swell and stick during rainy seasons.
Hi, TU for your help. These "crevices" are between each slat in the entire floor. It's the way it's designed. One could run a fingernail along them. It's not real wood, I think it's laminate. This house was flipped, so who knows what it is. Maybe I should consult a home-improvement store. Thank You again, Gail
