Brr! Drafty windows- how to cut the draft?
I have 3 sets of windows configured like this...very drafty, How to you winterize them? There is nothing in the corner to stick tape to. Thank you
Tape off with thick plastic, add thermal lined draperies
That material that you put on windows and then use a hair dryer to tighten it works great! we use it every year!
You can put bubble wrap on your windows to insulate them, also caulk around your window to keep the air out.
There are great suggestions here. Best would be replacement but if not, storm windows would be next. Bubble wrap for insulation, plastic to seal off areas. Caulking if the air is coming around the windows. Check the glass panels to see if they need re-glazed because over time it will dry and wind will come in.
Thanks
Use the plastic window insulating kits available at hardware stores, homecenters, even Walmart.
Caulk around the windows and hang insulated curtains on the window. Here are some at Target https://rstyle.me/n/dabrzfcc4s7
