How about a coral? It's close to Pink..I'd paint the brick foundation brown, and the window trim, too...never heard of painting a roof
I'd paint the siding, bricks and trellis a cream color. Paint the trim a light coral color and the door a brighter coral or a medium green. Look up the painted ladies in San Francisco. You might find a color combination you fancy.
I think creating some contrast here would add a lot of depth to such a lovely old home. There is so much detail that you don't even notice cause its all the same color.
I would repaint all the trim and pillars in a bright white. From there the main body color could really be anything you like (considering its a Victorian!) I would go with a bright navy to really make the white trim stand out. A fire engine red door would be really pretty especially I think if you painted the brick back to a dark red brick color. You could also consider painting the gabled ends a lighter or darker shade of the blue to really make them pop too.
Just some ideas! Lovely home you have, good luck!
I painted my Victorian 5 colors like they were meant to be. Look at book called painted ladies. My house is in American Painted Ladies. The main part of my house was Montgomery White (which actually a soft butter cream) trim was New Londen Burganby. Accents of Chippendale Rose(pink), a dark and light teal. Benjamin Moore paints. A real show stopper.
I think a very pale pink would be lovely. I've seen a few in our area with brown roofing and white trim.
Be sure to let us know what you decide on and the progress of the painting. I'm curious though, what is the extension on the house? And what are the snarly looking things on the house?
How about a pale yellow
