How do I dry firewood?

Is there any secret trick to getting some soggy wood dry and burnable when you're getting colder & need a fire, but it's only after it rained or snowed on it you realize you have none ready? (This happens too often in my life!)

When you stack your wood, cover it then. Don't wait to do it later as that's when you forget.
Oh Jacqueline! You need lessons in planning and being prepared. Wood needs to cure for a year in most cases before it is good to burn. Once you have your wood, you need to build a storage shed or tent it so you always have dry wood at any given time. Always plan ahead . . . Being forgetful is no excuse. You can learn to not be forgetful or inattentive. Just start teaching yourself or take lessons. You can do this!!! 🤗
