How to take care of Kimberly queen fern in winter
I have two Kimberly queen ferns that need to live through the winter. I have no room in my house. Do I cut them back? cover and store in garage? Or what?
Prune back to ''crown'', or as low as you can go... then I either mulch around the base, or cover with burlap ... you can buy a roll of burlap from the DollarRama or sometimes Dollar Tree has it this time of year. or more expensive at Lowes/Home Depot.
I have been doing this for many years and it has usually worked well depending on how severe our winters get in Canada, I think I have only lost 1 or 2 over the years.
good luck, hope this helps.
