How can I upcycle large plastic containers?
My husband and I drink protein shakes on a regular basis; so I'm looking for a creative project to upcycle or repurpose the large white plastic containers. Each container is approximately 10 inches tall and about 4 3/4 inches in diameter. I have used some to store chips and snacks in; but I keep hoping to find something a little more creative to do with them. So I thought this would be a good place to ask for suggestions. Thanks in advance for ideas.
I've attempted to add a picture of the container here; but it's just not working. The containers are those for Purely Inspired Plant-based protein powder from Sam's Club. I wanted to mention this because these are larger than those typically found at other stores.

Bobbye, do you have grandchildren, preteen or little children? This might be a project for them and you.
Wash the containers, lids, and dry thoroughly.
Purchase a sparkly spray paint or whatever you like and spray the inside and outside of the container and the lid. You can use different colors for boys or girls or whatever you like. Try a glue gun to add things to the lid. You can paint the lids different colors or paint their name on the lid or container.
You can’t see inside the container but you can use it as a gift container for your family birthdays, Christmas etc.
The children will love them and they can’t see inside of them. You could put hair ribbons, small treasures, little books, pajamas or whatever. What makes this so nice is that you made it and no one else has one. Even teenagers will love opening the surprise container you made with love. Hope you like this idea.
Decorate them for the holidays. Go to the dollar store * or your craft drawer and get ribbon, bows, glitter, paint fake snow, bobbles and decorate them for Christmas. Fill with homemade goodies and give for Christmas!
Since they are food safe, you could use them for storing foods and if you share your homemade soups, etc. with friends or neighbors, this would make a good container to use that you won't need back. You could decorate the outside and use it to store cooking utensils. Decorate the outside and turn it into a piggy bank for kids, just cut a slit a little larger than a quarter. You could even include some starter change and give them as gifts to little ones and teach them how to save allowance and open their own savings account when they have enough saved. I had enough saved to pay for my first quarter of nursing school and food and expenses for the whole year with enough left over to get myself a light weight ten speed bike that I could use at school (at that time, very few had their own car). I hope this helps start you in using your containers, Bobbye!
Here is an idea you could do.....

I would make snowmen from them for the holidays. A little paint and yarn and you have a cute decor accessory.
