How can I get laundry detergent off my concrete floor??
While we were gone, our liquid detergent bottle developed a leak. We got back to more than 1/2 of a Costco sized bottle empty and oozing across our floor. I scraped up all that I could, but there’s still a sticky, slippery mess. Paper towels don’t do it. Cotton towels don’t get it all up. I also don’t want a comedy movie suds and bubbles scene, so haven’t tried washing it. I covered the floor with cardboard, which has absorbed some detergent and provided a stable walking surface. It’s too thick and sticky for cat litter. Help!

Still put the cat litter down to sop up as much as it can. Then take a straight edge shovel and scoop up. Then pour vinegar on what is left. The acid should help cut the bubble factor and will be easier to mop up.

Hi. Try cleaning with vinegar and water, this should break up the slime and the thickness of the detergent. Aloha!
Try putting down some cat litter, to absorb it . You might want to do this twice, remember when it comes time to finally use water only use cold water !!!!! It won't suds up nearly as much as warm or not water.
