How do I remove a strong smell from a newly purchased comforter set.
Upon opening the comforter set it has a very strong chemical type smell. It’s dry lean only. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

You can try airing it out, but I would probably return it. I know they have beautiful stuff but even with dry cleaning you are now breathing in all those chemicals. Sure you want to do that? I hesitate to treat it in any way in case you do need to return it.
What is the fabric content on the label? Where did you purchase it from?
It might be from the plastic it came in? Air it out, and yes check the material content.
I would toss it in the dryer on a fluff only setting with a dryer sheet. Did this
with dog bed covers to get rid of that offensive smell and it worked like a charm.
