Dig a hole larger than plant and plant. Plant as deep as the pot it came. The water.
Sunny location, dig a hole in the ground big enough for the roots to tuck in to. Set it in the hole leaving the stem & plant out of the hole. Push dirt in and around the fresh planted Mum, pack the dirt down. Water and keep watering once a week in dry areas. Now, have said all that, the Mum has to be a "Hardy Mum" not a "Decorative Mum" (which is sold at most DIY & grocery stores) Enjoy your Mum
If you want it to come back again next year, make sure you have a (hardy mum). Then plant in hole twice as big as the pot, loosen the soil around the root ball first. Plant and water in.
