How to hang this on brick without damaging it?
I want to hang some decorative metal Fret items and a small single shelf on front of brick home. The shelf is not very big but is metal- 19”tall X 16” . DH does not want to damage brick and is concerned that hanging into the mortar joints w/ screwin anchors is not strong enough. Are there any hangers that will do th job? I have included photos

Pre drilled holes is the only way I can hang anything metal in my basement home. Command strips don’t last at all on cement. Good luck!
Use cement anchors in morter. I hung large planter boxes, full of dirt and plants
You need concrete anchors into the mortar joints. Pain in the butt trying to drill into brick. Another option is to use Tapcon screws made for concrete. You still need o predrill into mortar joints.
You can usr metal hangers that clip onto the brick edges, without any damage. Mine came from Lowes and were very inexpensive and very successful.

Brick clips or hangers. Just keep in mind you have to have adequate depth mortar joint so look at the joints to ensure they were tooled when the brick was laid. Also, some types of brick are irregular shaped or a little larger than standard brick (sand-blown brick for example). Consider that (in addition to weight load) when selecting the type brick hanger.
