Caring for money tree?
My money tree is still dying, I try putting it in the sun and in the shade and the leaves are getting brown and dropping off. How often do you have to water it?

I provide my Money tree with 3-4 ice cubes per week to water and to prevent over watering. My tree is very large now and most likely could use a re potting but I have not gotten to "Lowes Hardware" to find out what kind of pot I should buy to provide the best home. My plant is next to my kitchen sink and get daily indirect sunlight..sometimes it can be a bit strong, but it has not harmed it. I do sometimes get a yellow leaf but I just take it off and throw it away. Good luck with your Money tree and the garden center of Lowe's Hardware or even Home Depot may be able to provide even better information on your plant needs.

To avoid root rot, a money tree needs a sandy, peat-moss-based soil and a pot with good drainage. Although it likes humidity in general, you should let its soil dry out between watering. A good schedule for most environments is to water when the top 2-4 inches of soil are dry.Remember to fertilize every two weeks as part of good money plant care. Use a liquid plant food diluted by half. Suspend fertilizing in winter. The Pachira plant rarely needs to be pruned but as part of your annual money tree plant care, take off any damaged or dead plant material.
