break them up and throw in garden beds with mulch... you will grow your own pumpkins in a few years!!! It worked for us!
They will compost well but you do not want them close to the house. A rotting pumpkin has a horrible smell.
compost them & for sure save the seeds you can either plant them or roast them in oven for great snack
A few times I tried to smush it up and add to the garden bed, but it stank to high heaven and was a rat, mouse, possum, raccoon and roach buffet. Mine go in the trash. I did save the seeds! Some I planted the following year and the rest I ate.

I read somewhere recently “take them to a rural park pitch them or the pieces out into areas away from people’s homes or walking paths etc. many type of wild animals love to munch on them. Looks like you should be very careful where you drop them off. Pete
How about using them for compost? There are great nutrients in pumpkins 🎃
Deer love pumpkins. We cut them up and put them in the field behind our home where the deer find them.
