How to rescue my kitchen with refinished coutnertops?

How can I refinish formica countertops, have a horrid mingled pink. Will only be in this house about 4 years so don't want to replace.

There are great kits for that i saw at my local paint store. It looks just like granite. My friend did it and it looks wonderful. Has step by step instructions in the kit. I'm sure it could get you thru 4 years. Have fun.
