I have a swivel rocker that has a nice fabric that I love the feel of but want to change the colir. It is pale yellow but I want it to be Hunter green. I've seen some people paint fabric using different methods. I want to make sure mine looks good and stays soft. How do I accomplish this?

Elegant Gray Painted Fabric Chair
If you dampen the chair first and remember to sand it between coats of paint, it should remain soft.
Hi Linda,
I have never done it myself, but I understand it is done with Chalk Paint and then given a covering of Clear or /antique wax to seal it.
Yes I have read chalk paint is a great way.
Thanks everyone. I hope there is a better way than using chalk paint and wax because I want the fabric to look and feel like it does now not waxy and leathery. It makes sense if you use wax the feel would be waxy. I guess I want to dye it not paint it. Any other ideas?
