How can I fill the grout lines on an exterior brick surface?
I have a semi-sheltered brick area by my front door. It is what appears to be a glazed brick. I would like to paint the area and stencil it. Is there any way to fill the grout lines so the surface is smooth?

Not really. You would have to retuckpoint it, the morter will always be rough, not smooth. Have you thought about hanging a large canvas on wall? You can make the stretcher frame as big as the canvas would come and treat it to make it more durable to the elements. I wouldn't ruin your glazed brick with paint, it will chip and peel.
Hello Kris, I agree with Kelli, This would not be at all practical to do. Better to make a frame and maybe cover that with Marine Plywood or use a Canvas or even a Bed Sheet!
Thanks for responding. I neglected to state that this is a floor....
Not really. New cement will not adhere to old. Also paint will not stick to glazed brick.
