I have heard of window quilts. I am sure they could be used for doors also.
Hi Marilyn! Investing in some thermal window panels can make a huge difference. If you intend to hang them over the door, make sure you have room to push the curtains to either side of the door. If it's for a wall treatment, I would do the rods in sections, so they are sturdier.
Not sure what a doorwall is? Do you mean a door with glass insert?
You can purchase thermal fabric both on line and at fabric stores. Also you can purchase flannel backed plastic table cloth fabric that works also.
Thermal black out fabric is available in different weights at JoAnne Fabric and similar. It works quite well, but note that sewing through the liner will admit pinpoints of light. You may prefer to use fusible webbing or no iron seam tape for seams/headers/hems.
