Start with a true degreaser. That’s not as easy as it should be, but not all cleaners are degreasers, and many have oil in them to produce shiny counters. Dawn, mild cleaners, bleach, vinegar, salt, baking soda and lemon juice are all good counter cleaners, and use paper towels to absorb the grease and throw it away. Repeat until the counter is clean and not greasy. Then if you want the counter shiny, there are many products available, but you can always use a few drops of olive or vegetable oil. Buffing with a soft cloth will help that shine to last est wishes! ☺️

Hi. Use a paste of baking soda and water. And a magic sponge. Then use a good furniture polish to finish up. Done!

Fill a bucket with some hot water and add some simple green into the water. Using a sponge or rag, coat the area with the solution and allow it to sit for a few minutes. It may take a few times of scrubbing the greasy area, but this will cut the grease and give you a clean cabinet without having to use harsh cleaners.

Thanks so much Heather! This made cleaning the cabinets so much easier especially over the stove.

I’ve always used TSP. It’s available at most grocery and hardware stores.
