How do you use CPAP tubing when you are ready to discard it?
People on CPAP machines change the tubing at least twice a year. I have been throwing it in the garbage does anyone have ideas of how to reuse or cut it up for other uses?
You certainly know how to sterilize the tubing, so it ought to be ready for anything. I would stop up one end and almost fill the tube with mineral oil, baby oil, or water, then add as much glitter as possible to the tube, then stop up the other end. Just lift the tubing from end to end until the glitter runs all through the tubing. On anything like my Christmas tree which has colored lights, I would use the glittery tubing like garland, which will reflect the lights so much more. And I would think white lights and any color glittery tube would be very pretty on any party decor. Best wishes! ☺️
Hi Arva,
That is such an intriguing question! My husband has a cpap and I wondered about what to do with the discarded one. the only thing I could find was to use it at Halloween as part of a scary costume or as an octopus, so disappointed to hear these were the only uses.
Hopefully other Hometalkers will do better.
Thank you. I just could not think of any way to use it. I thought of tying up my tomato plants but its not pliable enough.

I have one of my hoses in the bathroom where I can hook it up to the sink if I want to fill a large container up with water such as a pail. I use the full face mask. When it gets replaced I save the rubber part . sometimes I need a little something to seal up a hole this works great. I do sterilize it first.
I decided to cut the tubing in 2 then took the lose ends and stuck them together to form a circle wrapped a ribbon around it ,put on small Christmas beads and made a Christmas wreathe.
Put it between your stove top and counter top to keep those crumbs from falling in between them
