I would go straight to using a solvent from your hardware store. It could be risky trying natural methods in case they dont work and you make the stain worse.

Hi Sylvia. I'm Cindy. Take a white cloth and pour a generous amount of non-acetone nail polish remover directly on to it. Gently dab at the shoe polish until it is totally gone. Good luck Sylvia and Happy Holidays.
