How do you save mums after they flower?
I live in zone 5, I plant it right in the garden, it comes back year after year even better.
Hi Marlowe. I'm Cindy. If your Mums are in the ground, prune them back to just a couple inches above the soil. Remove all the dead flowers and debris. Then cover it with mulch or grass clippings. At least 3 or 4 inches worth. It's all about protecting the root systems from winter weather. Good luck Marlowe and Happy Holidays.
