Silicone
Check out sanded caulk. You can find it in the tiling section near the grout. (You might have trouble matching the exact color.) I used it around a bathroom vanity back splash instead of regular caulk.

I would definitely use caulk! Do your best and caulk the rest :D
There used to be a grout additive that had silicone in it that helped with expansion and contraction. I don't know if that is still an option or they have improved grout enough to not need it. It helped but would not call it pliable. If need where 2 surfaces meet you can use tub caulk.
Grout is a cement based product to seal joints around tile and strengthen the tile bond into one solid slab. Grout is not made to be pliable otherwise they would be selling it.
