How can I stencil sheets to make drapes?
I want to make cornices and drapes but fabrics can be expensive. Can I use sheets and stencil a design on them?

Sure, just wash first to remove the sizing so your fabric paint sticks better. My first set of drapery were sheets. I didn't paint mine however.

Absolutely. Just wash, dry and iron prior to painting. A rod with curtain clips and you won't have to sew a thing. I have used sheets many times as curtains. Easy to wash, inexpensive and if you have a flair for embellishing them no one will ever know. Not that it matters.
