How can I seal a gap in some cracked grout?
Got new tiles recently, and noticed a crack in the grout across a few tiles. Tiles are directly beneath washing machine, so afraid there may be seepage. Thanks 😊
Hi Melissa. Wipe the tile with warm water and a sponge, then use some very fine steel wool to clean off the grout. Be gentle, you don't want to scratch your tile.
Assuming the tile is glazed tile, the grout will come off with a few washings of clear water and a little elbow grease.
Melissa...You can also use a utility knife, again being very easy so you don't scratch after using the warm water to soften a little. Good luck!r
I would use a scrubber sponge with Dawn and warm water. If the grout is too heavy and thick for the sponge, then sand it by hand with some fine sandpaper, dipped in the warm soapy water. Rinse and use a soft cloth to smooth the tiles. Best wishes ☺️
2 ideas, first try a mixture of baking soda and vinegar or lemon juice and 2nd a Mr. Clean magic eraser
plastic scraper. would not use metal.
