You would need to purchase a new wax seal about 8 dollars at Home Depot therestandard so don’t worry about size. Scrape the old one off then just add new one and then sit the toilet down on top then screw two bolts on side of toilet tight but not to tight to crack porcelain
Turn water off empty unbolt remove clean off old seal & the area replace new seal rebolt turn on water Here's more detail https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loP4hYKPvjs MORE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2ZXo9k26s4
Very easy! Just get help to pick up and move the toilet and replace it. They are heavy, awkward and clumsy. In my younger years I could do it myself, now I can't. I just replaced a toilet in my master bath and hopped onto Nextdoor.com and hired a local college kid to come help me for an hour. Now he knows how to swap out a toilet. Here are step by step instructions and a video.

In my area, a plumber would charge $200 to $300 or more to perform this task. No way would I pay that much. I gave the young gentleman $25 for a literally 45 minute job. I had already drained the old one - So it went quick. And there are a lot of pickers and recyclers in my area, all I had to do was place the old one at the curb, and it was gone in an hour, didn't even have to pay to get rid of the old one. In my case it was still functional, I just needed a higher (comfort height) toilet. So I put out a "free toilet" post on Nextdoor and someone took it. Yay and Yay!
NEVER try to re-use a wax ring. I just bought a new one at Home Depot for about $7. Get the one with a rubber/plastic flange that fits into the drain line. Turn off water, flush and remove as much water as possible (a sponge will help), loosen nuts, remove toilet, clean off old wax ring, re-install in the reverse steps. Ensure toilet is level and snugly tighten the flange bolts. Don't crack the toilet. Replace flange bolts if they look rusted or damaged.
Look for a utube video.
CALL a plumber.
Make sure you check the toilet flange because if its broken or cracked in any way a new wax ring will not do any good .... and also make sure you double nut the bolts to the flange so they do not move and last be sure the toilet is set level then grout with a good floor grout that matches your flooring good luck retired plumber of 35years
