Just in case you're looking to trim one because of brown spot, trim around the edge of the part that's browning. This will prevent it from spreading to other leaves.
If not, I've always clipped at the bottom of a leaf stem to trim. I've also dipped the stem of the leaf in rooting powder, stuck it in a mason jar and roots began to grow!
