How can I affordably repair this scratched vintage sideboard?
Scored a Georgetown Gallerie vintage (1940-50's) sideboard/buffet at local thrift store for $32 dollars. Has beautiful mohogany wood but also has scratches to fill in. Was going to paint over but the wood is stunning once treated with lemon oil. Anyone suggest an "affordable" way to mend this old girls years of wear?

Hi! If she was mine, I would strip it, sand it and refinish it. Less than $20 would give you a whole new look without changing too much.
Hi KS. I'm Cindy. That old girl is stunning. I think mahogany is one of the most beautiful woods ever. I strongly recommend that you don't paint it.

So All, tryed liner pencil. "waxy", tea bags and lemon oil, kinda worked. But what really made this Vintage sideboard/buffet look like new was a product from a 100 year old company. Yes, Old English (dark wood scratch cover) blends the scatches. For around 5 dollars at Walmart have an amazingly beautiful old new looking sideboard/buffet. Happy Holidays nw AZ
