Foam inserts
Can anyone recommend a company that sells foam, that I can cut to desired width/length, to replace worn out foam in seat cushions?
It has to do with the length of the rocker. The longer the rocker, the further it goes. So they need to be shortened.
Put a small piece of wood-wedge shaped; on the rockers at a point where you feel comfortable. Works like a stopper. You can still rock but not to the danger of turning over.
Kathy is right with the cause, and Deanna is right with the cure. This makes the rocker safer for children, too. ☺️
Do not shorten the rockers. Will throw the rocker off balance. Add the wood stops to the rockers like Deanna suggests.
Hi Al, hope this helps, you can stop a rocker recliner from rocking by placing something sturdy underneath it to prevent the rocking motion. This could be as simple as placing furniture coasters or rubber stoppers under the rocker base. This should allow the recliner to still function as a recliner without the rocking motion. Repeat for the front.
