Won't work. You need to use drywall patching compound.

If the hole is very small you may be able to fill it with toothpaste.
Hi there, I agree with William, buy a small tub of drywall mud.
Drywall mud is super inexpensive.
I always use spackle.
Don't use flour, as you risk drawing insects. Drywall mud or spackling is readily available and inexpensive.
