Inside my basement laundry room I have a smaller room that is a dedicated full bathroom.
I've seen a number of homes that have laundry + bathrooms combos. If you don't want it to be blatantly obvious that you have a washer/dryer in there, though, you can always come up with some sort of hide-away system that closes off the appliances when you're not using them (like a large closet).
Maary,...We have one and I love it! Moved the washer and dryer from basement and used a portion of a small bedroom. Now the small bedroom (remainder) is a great craft room/sewing room.
Of course you already have water,sewage for toilet may be issue depending where main sewer lines & your laundry room are. You could use othe types of toilets incinerating,composting there are others too
