How do I create tie storage?
I have around 100 ties. I'm looking for a way to store them and readily be able to see them to pick out a tie for work. I have a closet that I'm planning on using that currently is empty and want to "design" its use around the tie storage.

Did you know there are electric tie racks that can rotate much like those in a dry cleaners. You can also hook or drape ties over tiered rods or dowel rods, so you can see all the ties, simultaneously.
Another option is in a shallow depth pull out drawer with multiple dividers (such as available from Ikea), where all folded ties can be viewed at once.
Good for you! Who doesn't love a sharp dressed gentleman. Here are some really cool ideas. Hope you find something to make your closet special.

install curtain rods all over walls staggered 6"s apart(or more) starting at top of wall going down(slip ties over rods so they hang/lie nice and flat no folds) to hold ties they will be overlapping on bottom ends but you could store hundreds easily and see them;& still hang clothes in front if you need to ,you could use shower curtain rods, tension rods instead of actual curtain rods depending on spacing of walls in closet. Be careful about using dowels rods unless you sand & spray with high gloss so they don't snag your nice/expensive ties. Matthew, Their are tie racks you can buy to display your ties for easy ways to pick your ties. Aloha!
You could install slide out drawers sized to fit your ties. (Or maybe install a chest of drawers in the closet.)
