I have a tip on how to prevent losing socks.
When I take off my socks I immediately roll them up and tuck them into their top before I put them into the hamper. Years ago I purchased an over the door basketball hoop for my grandchildren to put on their bedroom or bathroom door. After they rolled up their socks they could toss them into the hoop with a bag hanging below. It worked for them also.

My husband refuses to match his socks before washing because he thinks they don’t get clean in the middle. So for every birthday, anniversary, St. V’s Day, Christmas, Father’s Day, Grandparents’ Day, etc., etc...I bought my husband the same brand, type and color of socks. He never noticed his old dress socks were disappearing. I even did the same thing with his white athletic socks!
By the way, I use your tip with all of my socks I figure they are 90% ready to go in my sock drawer, and I never have lost socks. Thank you for giving many people an easier way to wash their socks. 🤶🏻
The socks don’t go in the washer rolled up. They are separated in the wash and dryer, then matched and put away.
