Dec 6, 2014 - Cover your box with a kitchen towel with a folded pocket. Place your box at the end of the cotton towel. Fold the short sides up and over the box. Then fold the fabric over the box by rolling it.

Put your gift in the middle of the towel and bring up the sides, gather together and tie with ribbon or twine for a rustic look.
I use those sparkly pipe cleaners and curl them around a pencil to spiral the ends
If the corners or folds are stubborn and do not want to stay closed, sew a couple of quick stitches with dental floss to keep them from coming apart. You could use mint green; it would be seasonally appropriate.
Even if the person getting the gift has to clip the stitches with a scissors while 'opening the present' it will only add to the excitement!
