Use and paint an old pillow case.
Get plain old brown paper lunch bags, or get white if they have them. Head over to the dollar store and pick up a bunch of holiday stickers and go to town. If you are crafty, embellish more with colored felt tip ink pens or glue holiday themed baubles from the dollar store onto the bags.
How old are the kids? I would be more concerned with filling them. If the bag says "Merry Christmas" or has a Christmas tree on it, that might be sufficient.
The dollar stores will have some good fillers too. Pencils, erasers, cups, toys, see what strikes your fancy. Add some decent candy and maybe tape a candy cane to each bag.
Hi Debbie. I'm Cindy. There's nothing better than a good gift bag. Using either lunch bags or store bought bags, fill them with age appropriate gift items. You could make boy's bags and girl's bags. Boy's bags could contain Match Box cars, whistles, toy bugs and snakes. Girl's bags could contain hair bows, scrunchies, nail polish, and friendship bracelets. Bubbles, jump ropes, and glow-in-the-dark necklaces could go in either boy's or girl's bags. Good luck Debbie and Happy Holidays.
Hi Debbie! I hope this information is helpful to you! Merry Christmas and a wonderful new year!
