Ticia....Pallets would work great for the stable and manger but I would suggest you purchase the items for the nativity and this late in season you may get a really good buy. Even if you can't display this year...you will be all ready for next year!!
Here is a post with our DIY Nativity we made from pallet wood. It's simple, but still looks great!
