repurpose a cheap framed print. Remove the print and glass. Slice the corks lengthwise in half. Stick the corks to the timber base, using a hot glue gun. The pattern can be straight or varied ( to your imagination). Stick notes etc with appropriate notice board pins. Also you could make a frame from moulded timber on a particle board base. They look great.
