I use a bunch of used fabric softener sheets and a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water. For heavy deposits use straight vinegar no water. The remaining softener in the sheet will also slow down the build up.
I would do the vinegar rinse as William suggests, but I’m allergic to dryer sheets. After the vinegar, try shaving cream, the cheap kind is fine, buff off with paper towels when dry. Just like one would do to keep the mirror fog free. Another option after vinegar would be to use a car wax, very thin layer, let dry, buff out with one of the buffers that attach to a drill. Be careful not to push hard and do the edges by hand as glass is more fragile on the edges than in the middle, we keep a small squeegee in the shower and when we are finished showering, we take the squeegee to the walls, etc.
Hi Beth, try to make a paste of baking soda and vinegar, slather that on, let it sit for a bit so you don't have to scrub a bunch, and then wash off with a wash cloth. See if that helps!
Sometimes minerals in the water will etch the glass and cleaning solutions will not work. Using paste wax and a squeegee will help keep the new door from spotting in the future.
I use Brillo pads. Hey, we use them on glass dishes! They have never scratches my glass doors. You don't have to scrub hard -- let the pad do the work.
I used Wet ‘n Forget spray from Lowe’s, Amazon also has it. Used it on glass and tiles. Now we spray it once a week. Worked for us
Use CLR. Worked on mine!
Try using evolve scale and lime remover I used on my husband's shower door and showers works great. It's plant base, eco friendly and non toxic.
