Want to hide fan wire in concrete ceiling and attach it behind shitrock to electric outlet. Any tips on how to remove a popcorn ceiling?
Chela,
Popcorn ceilings are put up for a reason. Sometimes sheetrock is not floated out very smoothly so it is a convenient way for builders to hide irregularities. If you remove the popcorn, be prepared to possibly find more work and expense.

Hi there!
I have popcorn ceilings throughout my home. Rather than go through all that scraping and mess, I covered my kitchen ceiling with Styrofoam squares that I purchased from Home Depot. Although it was a lot of work for one person, I love the final look and no mess! If you are interested, I can add a picture as I just finished putting up all the tiles.
