How should I paint my kitchen cabinets?
Framed our old kitchen cabinets and drawers with 1.5 inch soft wood, Need a colour advice to paint with a gold brown tiled 4x4 counter top and back splash to make it look larger and stand out and continue in same pallet as it ‘s opened to dining and living room but softer colours. Would love classic but white in Florida tend to turn yellow, was thinking going greyish blue (teal) or greenish beige, confused as I love classsic colours and not sure the grey trend will last🤦♀️ Would like a colour that would make the whole place look cottagy style and all blend in. I right now have gold brownish counters, cupboards and accent walls in our condo with pretty much the same colour. Need a desperate change that would be classic in the either teal, blue greyish palet,,,,, totally love navy blue, but way too dark, I think for our small kitchen , confused 🤷♀️ need your advice please Nicky from Florida 😉. Looking forward to reading you soon. Nick.co.roy@gmail.com

Nicole,. Sandy Feet is the color you want. Think it's Glidden or Sherman-Williams. Aloha!
Hi Nicole. we live in the southeast as well, and we did choose a classic white from Sherwin Williams. We used their Cashmere paint, which has acrylic in the mix, and they haven't yellowed at all. It gives the cabinets a bit of sheen and the whole kitchen is brighter. Just a thought in case you wanted to go with white. Good luck!
It sounds like you need to lighten all your colors . I like the white with the grayish blue. I wouldn't worry about the paint turning yellow...it's only paint and you can re do it in years, or change the color ! I used a paint that I was told wouldn't yellow !
I used Benjamin Moore's advance paint. No sanding or primer needed !!! You can look up my tutorial on this site called kitchen re do from ugly 1970's to vintage cottage. I not only painted my cabinets , but my countertops as well ! Good luck !
I love White Dove by Benjamin Moore. But if you're looking for color, which I think is awesome, you could do Watery by Sherwin Williams.
Thank you for sharing your great advice 👍😉
