What type of flooring? You might try 1 cup hydrogen peroxide to 2 gallons water. It’s safe for all floor types.

I'd call the salt manufacturer and see what they recommend. Need to find out your type of floor before calling. Is it real wood, laminate or vinyl?
I would also try to have an area when you enter your house that has a mat of some kind to protect floors from the salt and a boot tray nearby. Avoiding as much salt as possible on the floor helps a lot.
You might try baking soda. Just sprinkle it on and let set awhile use a broom or soft dust pan broom to spread it out so you get in the cracks also. Look up cleaning wood or getting stains or water rings out of wood with baking soda etc. Be patient because it may take several applications to get it out. I would think the peroxide method would bleach the wood some but it would help if it has a smell. Me my self would try the B. S. method first. Murphy's oil soap is also good but I don't know if it removes water stains!
Look up water/ring marks on wood furniture. I would think that it would work the same way on a wood floor. You also may want to seal the wood when and if you get it out. Good luck and Happy New year!
