Hi Glenda,
Since you tub is a permanent fixture maybe tackle the decorating side of your bathroom with bright off-setting colors in the shower curtain, towels, window curtain, ceiling and walls, decorations...
Keep a theme of light colors going on. This will help draw the eye away from the tub which iwill have very limited exposure from the shower curtain, all you will see is the base of it. Best to you.
You could always paint the walls to lighten up the space. You could also add some fun decor pieces like fresh greenery/plants, a pretty piece of art, or a pretty patterned towels.
A light color on the walls to make the space brighter, and a larger mirror to help reflect more light into the small space will help. Good luck!
There is paint made for bathtubs.
