I let mine dry out. Stick it in the basement for a couple months. Bring it up and start all over. I also add a little miracle grow to the watering can. Mine has gone from a single to 4 in the same pot. And I pollinated the flowers and it gave me seeds which are happily growing to make more.

I just repot in fresh soil and place in a corner of my yard and keep damp and let it do it's thing. Granted I am in zone 9 so easier to care for.
Once mine are done blooming, I let them dry out and put them in my garage. I cut the leaves off when they dry up and leave them alone until they start growing again and take them back in the house and start watering them again.
After it blooms cut it down and put in the dark
