How can I take out carpet and put a cost effective flooring?
I have really old, ugly carpet but can't afford good, vinyl now but it is so bad now so wanted a cost effective way to put out the carpet and put something down to freshen up my home. I'm very sorry couldn't get my pictures to up load.Please give me some help and wonderful ideas Maggie

Hi Maggie, I removed my carpeting and bought relatively affordable bamboo hardwood flooring from Lumber Liquidators. They have some great cost-effective options. Good luck!
I had old carpet in my bedroom. I wanted to be able to do this myself. I removed the old carpet with box cutters and scissors, the tacks and tack boards with a pry bar. I bought inexpensive peel and stick tiles at Lowes. Now this is labor intensive but I did a little bit at a time, working my way around the room.
