How about faux stained glass. There are special glass paints and hobby lobby and Michaels.
I used hooks in my curved window. I placed the hook every so often at the top then I strong Battenberg lace curtains across weapon and strong the ribbon around the hooks. Perhaps you could do that with a valance. I had a concave curve but I bet it would work with yours to and follow the lines of the windows.
What a beautiful window to have in your bedroom! You could put some privacy window film over the glass and forget any curtains! It will give you privacy but still let in lots of light. I don't know if you have room for a window seat under this window but it's a perfect setting for a window seat with cusions and pillows and perhaps storage underneath.
The stained glass look would be stunning on that wonderful window and would be appropriate to the age of the house. The "gallery glass" option is not hard to do but depending on how high the window is could be labor intensive. They make window film that gives the impression of stained glass. It reminds me of contact paper but is applied with water and is totally removeable. My friend used it on one of her windows about 3 years ago and it still looks beautiful. You can find it at home improvement stores or search "window film" at amazon.
Lovely, lovely window. How about a cornice board (valance). Make a pattern with brown paper and transfer it to thin plywood. Add padding and fabric. I would take the board all the way to the ceiling and have the curved edge at the bottom. Then you can hide a straight curtain rod behind it.
I’m a window/natural light person so anything permanently that blocks or distorts your view I’m not a fan of. If it wasn’t a bedroom I’d say leave it. It’s gorgeous however I think this might be a romantic pretty look for your bedroom. I’d go with something light, gauzy or silky that gives you enough to block light and give privacy without getting too heavy. Place holders along curve of ceiling not right above the window. It will make the window look larger and when drapes are pulled back more window will show. Two similar examples. Hobby Lobby has adorable antique cabinet knobs that might suffice. Get them on their 50% off week.
How about using an etching cream to etch the glass if you still want the rounded look. Otherwise, hang drapes higher and wider than the window.
